PIICo is an
evolution of its two owners that wanted to
start a company that provided value to its
customer, at a fair price, that is an
enjoyable place to work with a family
atmosphere.
The owners were both engineers for Rockwell
Automation (Allen-Bradley) when they left,
in late 2000 to start Automation Solutions,
Inc (ASI). ASI provided automation/control
solutions for their customers.
After almost two years of success,
Automation Solutions, Inc. was acquired by
The ESCO Group to expand on the success of
the Marion, Iowa based Automation Systems
and Control, Inc. for the eastern
Iowa/western Illinois markets.
Two years later the owner of The ESCO Group
decided to sell back to the current owners
the automation business and expand their
offering by also selling the electrical
business.
The new company worked under the name The
ESCO Group for about one year until a new
name that described the companies’ position
and offering could take form.
Using input from the employees and
management, PIICo (Power Industrial
Integration Company) was formed. |
